My Writing Challenge-SOL 2014

Day 16

To recap--today was the first day of trying to prioritize the things I'm doing during the day in search of a better balance in my life.  I'm trying to prioritize the things in my life that I value and stay away from creating a to-do list that I'll never accomplish.

I've managed to do everything that was on my list of activities today, along with laundry, vacuuming, and best of all, a nap.

With a reasonable list, I accomplished most things early in the day, and felt like a concentrated more on doing things well and staying in the moment.

I even set the table and had most of dinner ready before everyone arrived, so I could enjoy our parents' company instead of rushing around and worrying about what else is on the to-do list.

While I still have a slight onset of the Sunday blues, I feel like I'll be able to sleep soundly tonight and face the world with a good attitude tomorrow.

Happy St. Patrick's day, everyone!

Good for you! Have a great week, realistically speaking of course!

That pesky never-ending to-do list. I am guilty of creating one that is completely unreasonable and unobtainable. I hope you continue to make realistic lists- I will work on it too.

I like that balance you found by avoiding making a huge to-do list that would stress you and leave you defeated.
I'll try to focus on priorities, not the mass of detail demanding attention.
I was tempted to make a to-do list today, and now I'm happy I didn't.
